That reminds me of the time I bought tesT of the D'urbervilles in a quest to read some of the classics. I'd only had it two days when I heard it being discussed on the radio and discovered several big plot twists. I never did read it after that.

I don't like spoilers in mystery/thriller books, but when I was younger I used to read the ending of some books to decide whether or not I wanted to read them. (This was mainly to ensure the said books didn't have sad endings.) :)
