Five and a half hours a day when the sun rose above the horizon.
Storm clouds so thick, daylight never penetrated, and night reigned eternal.
Thirty below zero Fahrenheit.

Zone could slam his elbow into Hawley's ribs. But Hawley's ribs were nowhere close to the surface of Hawley's body. Hawley was enormous, upholstered in a protective layer of flesh, and any damned fool would see he held the upper hand.
