THE PROBLEM CHILD by Tess Thompson

Cymbeline Barnes declared Viktor Olofsson her arch-enemy when they were children. When he saved her beloved sister, she started to see him as a hero instead. Still, she can't let go of the idea that her destiny is waiting somewhere else in the world.

Viktor Olofsson has cared for Cymbeline his whole life. However, when she continues to rebuff him, he allows himself to entertain the idea of newcomer Emma.

Will Cymbeline come to terms with her life and wake up to the idea of love before it's too late?

MY THOUGHTS

Tess takes us back to Emerson Pass in this, the fourth in the series. The story continues. This time it's Cymbeline's story. Hers and Viktors. These two have always been destine for each other. Even as youngsters they were very competitive. Cym is a winner at most all she does and she never runs from anything. She is not shy by any means.

When Viktor and Cymbeline finally take their friendship to another level it's magic. Viktor loves that Cym is a competent young woman who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go after it. Things during this time, the twenties, are not fair for females. They are not to compete or do anything that is out of the "norm." Just stay home and be little Suzie homemakers in a sense. Have babies and wait on the men. But this is not what Cym wants. She wants to compete in a skiing event that her brother is holding.

When trouble comes to Emerson Pass the town stands united to help out the Barnes family. No one can just come in and destroy the beauty that this town has worked hard to build. Or can they. Can someone actually take away what belongs to Emerson Pass residents? A town united may not be enough. A group of men trying to defend things. Maybe it will take more.

Then when a child gets sick and they almost lose her what will happen. Can they save her before it is too late? Will anyone be able to figure out what is happening? There is a bit of drama going on in this book. Emerson Pass is having a rough time in a few ways.

Children born. Families split. Pain inflicted. What will become of this community? Who or what will save them?

It's wonderful. Endearing. Heartwarming. Sad and yes a bit of a tearjerker in parts. Also a couple of laughs to keep you smiling. This book is well written and makes you feel so many things. Emerson Pass is a great place to live and raise a family. This is a very fast read. At least it was for me. I couldn't put it down.

I received an ARC of this beautiful book from the author in exchange for my honest review. This is my own true thoughts about this book.

5/5 stars and a very high recommendation. Read this one. Read the whole series.

    1. It's a good one.
Tess Thompson always writes such good books.
The drama is more outside the family. A little inside it but mostly from someone... I can't tell. I don't do spoilers. lol
